Because I had been told that today was going to bring a little more rain, I wanted something warm and cozy. Just looking at this you wouldn't perhaps think it right away, but friends...think very soft flannel!! Just what I want to snuggle up with on the couch while watching football :)
Little side note...me and flannel sheets? Two peas in a pod!
My main problem was the collar. It was too much business going on around that neckline so I began to remove it with my seam rippers.
With it completely gone...
...I started repinning the fabric that was on each side of the collar.
After it was pinned, I got to removing the single waist sash that was there...
(I know, totally random right!! I tried looking for a hole or space where the other one could have been located in its previous life but I was without any luck!!)
Before I got the sewing machine out, I had to tackle the last change on the dress...the length.
I trimmed off a good eight inches and got it ready to hem.
The flannel-y outcome?? Warm and perfect for an overcast day.
Also warm and perfect for an overcast day? Trader Joe's Pumpkin Pancake/Waffle Mix (literally AMAZING if you're a pumpkin fan...sprinkle a little cinnamon on top, a little bit of maple syrup and some whipped cream...oh joy!), a Pacifico, and a new dress.
