What's better than getting an email that starts off with "Aloha from Honolulu, Hawaii Marisa!!" I mean, take me away, a secret place, a sweet escape, take me away...that Natasha Bedingfield song totally comes to mind and it's partially stuck in my head from seeing a quick performance she did last night here in LA, but all I think of is Emma Stone's version in Easy A.
I can't get it out of my head...apologies if you're currently singing along now too!
Back to today's piece from Christi in Honolulu! Christi said...
"I was so inspired by your mission and journey that I thought I would give it a try! Unfortunately, a local thrift store here in Hawaii called Savers doesn't have amazing finds for $1 so I opted for half off items!"
I love it! Sign me up for half off items anywhere. Here's Christi's before...
She got this blue dress for $3.50 and did one of my fave tricks...turning the dress around and making the front the back!! She got rid of the sleeves, hiked it up a bit and paired it with an awesome thick camel colored belt.
Super chic and depending on what part of the world you're situated, you can pair a dress like this with cable tights, boots, and a cardigan for chillier temps or wear it like so where it's nice and warm. Love it Christi - thanks for sharing!!
And yes, I'm still singing..."I got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunshine, I got a love and I know that it's all mine oh, oh oh oh!"
