Hi Marisa ~ I'm a senior in high school, and I've been a fan of yours since I saw the news article on Yahoo last year. You've inspired me so much, I actually wrote a speech for my public speaking class over how to reinvent old clothes into something completely fabulous!

Shelby attacked those sleeves, shortened the piece, and used some extra fabric to make ties.
This is a super cute piece to pair on top of a bathing suit with drawstring linen pants or over a sundress even. It screams summer to me, working as a cute little shirtlet (my re-tweaked version of capelet) - just the thing to hide my shoulders from the sun!
