I love accessories and purses especially. I have quite a stash of vintage clutches that I just can't get rid of because you really never know when you'll need one! When I took a look at Heather's remake, I knew she was a gal after my heart. My accessories loving heart!
Greetings Marisa!! My grandmother gave me an absolutely gorgeous, if somewhat bland, purse the other day. Having been inspired by you before, I decided to try my hand at making it a little more interesting. I recently got a henna tattoo on my ankle and I really loved the design, so onto the purse it went!
Time to check out Heather's henna tat-inspired purse!!!
At first, I sketched the design onto the purse with (get this) an old eyeliner pencil that I never used. (EYELINER!!!) After I figured out what design I wanted to make, I went and grabbed some craft supplies. A lovely gold paint marker...
...some acrylic jewels we had laying around, and some tacky dots. These are way more convenient than glue and way less messy too :)
After cleaning off the eyeliner, I drew my design using the paint marker. After it dried it already looked pretty fabulous but some final touches were still needed, so using the tacky dots, I stuck some acrylic jewels onto the design at a few key points...
...and VOILA!! My creation was complete!!
I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! I hope you enjoyed my recreation and a silly picture of my dog checking it out too!!
Keep creating! Heather
I love your bag and your pup, Heather!! Brilliant use of eyeliner too - adding this to the bag of tricks :) Thank you for sharing!!
