Today's remake comes from Christie in Austin, TX. I love this piece because it's something that many people can use nowadays...a cover for their e-reader!!
Hi Marisa - I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog and been inspired to create several new pieces and revamp some of my old stuff. I thought this one was worth sharing with you! I took the arm rest cover of my favorite gold vintage chair (hand-me-down from my grandma, who, incidentally, also gave me my sewing machine)...
I'm in love with this fabric!! I have a vintage green chair that's the same velvety fabric however, mine is without an arm rest cover otherwise you'd see me rockin' a velvet clutch by now!!
I took a little fabric from some old curtains and a button from an old coat...
...and made the cutest carrying case for my Kindle. It's so adorable, I might just use it as a clutch too. I love how cozy my Kindle is in this thing AND I love that it's made of all upcycled material.
I love this upcycled piece CS!! PS, my book will most definitely be available for your kindle when it comes out in October :) More details on that this week though!
