Happy Day 24!!!! 😃
So I LOVED the shape of today's dress!
Also loved the tag on the sleeve too! 😂 Forgot to snip that off, pre-photo!
It was simple and tasteful, for sure...
...however it still was a little much for my tastes.
Not quite certain about this section, but we'll take some time to think through the scissor action!
I ended up adding this to the same dye bath as Day 27 and the dress came out this lovely mint-y color!
I started by removing some of the extra lace trim and embellishments. I removed the satin portion at the bottom of the dress along with the trim in-between that turned out a darker green color. (You can see that in the top left photo!) Then I took off the lace flowers at the neck. When I looked at the dress, I really just wanted simplicity.
With the skirt totally removed, I trimmed the sleeved in half as well. I wanted to remove all of the darker green lace trim and this just made the sleeves simple. They still had lace but it's wasn't an overload. I created a new seam at both sleeves and my new, cleaned-up dress, was ready to go!
I have no words with how pleased I am how this turned out. It's just so stunning.
And, how much does the bottom of this dress pop now?! You can really see the high/low structure of it.
Plus you get a little bit of leg action going on too! I paired the look with gold heels (I found these Charles David heels on RueLaLa!) and a mesh purse to give it a more dancy vibe. You know what I'm talking about!
I think this dress is going to get a whole lot of wear time!
Anyone have a fun party I can go to before the wedding??
24 days til I do!
