I LOVE Sundays in September. I heart the fall (but don't get to see a tradish one out here in LA because all four seasons are virtually the same) and I heart football!! The JETS are my team, since my dad could get me chanting, J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets, as a lass, so clearly I had some viewing on the agenda. It's a Patriots game day too!!
I found this jersey when I was Goodwilling in NY for $1.67 a pound and literally squealed in delight. From behind it looked like this...
Now it wasn't my number of choice...
...but unfortunately a Mark Sanchez jersey was not found at the Goodwill outlet. I settled for the Wayne Chrebet one I found instead that ended up costing me a little less than a buck. We'll round up for all intensive purposes.
To girlify this jerz, I cut off the sleeves first...
Snipped both sides...
...and pinned under to prep for a little bit of sewing.
Got my new cap sleeves stitched...
...and took in a bit of the body to give it some more shape. I didn't want it too snug, I mean it's still a jersey, but I did want a smidge more shape.
Once my jersey all sewn up, I got together with my gal NK to watch some Jets/Pats action. She's from Boston, so you know where her alliance lies.
After being down in the first half, we came back and scored some serious pointage after the half and took the game home with a 28-14 win!!
Even though NK's Patriots were defeated by us, I'm not a hater. Tom Brady can wear his hair as long as he wants it! We'll see your team again in December.
And we'll end today's post with a little teaser...
Does anyone else smell a theme week??
