161 Days to Go: Audrey's NDAD Creation

Audrey's remake today was a piece she procured from her grandma, so being that it's Mother's Day weekend, I felt this was a perfect outfit to show!  Yay for grandmotherly love!!  Here's what Audrey shared...

I'm Audrey and I love your blog! I actually read it every day, and it's my dream to be featured on it!  My latest sewing project was one on a dress that my grandma gave me.  I loved the soft fabric and the black and white design on it but it was a size XXL, so I decided to make improvements!

Good call on the fabric Audrey - I love the black and white print and placement too!  Let's see what she does!

I took in a ton from the sides and disconnected the sleeves almost completely.  I also removed the little string belt.  I hemmed it next and made the sleeves fit, and now it's one of my favorite outfits!  Free, eco-friendly, and adorable.  Three words that are music to my ears too Audrey!!

I love all the ideas you've given me - these kinds of projects make me never want to shop at regular stores again!

You look stunning Audrey!!  With a little bit of elbow grease, you created a gorgeous new dress!  I love the belt you paired with it along with the boots...add some sandals for summer wearing and you've got a multi-seasonal outfit!  Thank you so much for sharing!
