114 Days to Go: $1 Remake

This was a fun one today!  Just take a gander... New Dress A Day - DIY - Vintage Dress - Before Shotl - 114

Yeah, we don't even need to discuss!  Let's get on it!

I started off my tweaking with removing the sleeves!  The white top is made of a thick polyester material, so it was easy removing the sleeves with a little seam ripper help.

I had one off and then got the other!

The little bow at the center was removed next.

I gave the neckline a little trim to make a bit of a scoop and then pinned the neck area along with the raw edges at the arms.

I shortened the piece next...

...and sewed it in place!

Before I got to the rest of the piece, I took some hot pink lace trim and pinned it all the way around the neck.  I figured that some more accenting couldn't hurt!

With lace in place I sewed the neck and the arms in place.

Since I didn't have the original belt that came with the piece - I saw the belt loops and trimmed them off - I took an orange sash from my collection and tied it around the waist.  There was a ton of orange in the fabric pattern, so I figured it would be just the right melony match!

I loved the extra neck neon too!!

It was my little summery outfit to wear to the Hollywood Bowl for a night of jazz with my friends!  I had my snacks packed before heading up the hill to the theater.  (PS, it's a hike up to the theater but I look at it as an extra evening workout!)

Not only was I prepared with yummy treats, I was prepared with warm layers to put on as the night got chillier.  But before we touch upon the leggings, JB brought my new favorite snack...

Here's a close up if you can't see...

STEAK FLAVOR chips!!  It's weird because at first I was not even interested because a beef jerky/potato mix isn't exactly screaming "eat me" like Salt & Vinegar Lays, but I don't turn down a bite of a new thing ever (unless there's olives in it) so I tried and I loved!

I enjoyed them so much that I took down the final bits.

Move over Sour Cream & Onion, these chippys are my new jam.  (Any other flavors I'm missing??)

It looked like I had a grey jumpsuit on with my leggings and hoodie combo - these grey leggings did the trick and may have found a permanent spot in my "Bowl Bag" with some fingerless gloves and a sweatshirt for colder nights.

New Dress A Day - DIY - Vintage Dress - Leggings- 114

I'm not usually a leggings gal and only really wear them to the gym, when I'm sick, and when it's raining, but in this case it's totally allowed!!
